Pirelli has completed a two-day test at the Hungaroring in which three teams were in action testing 2027 tyres.

On Tuesday, Gabriel Bortoleto was at the wheel of the Audi, Jak Crawford the Aston Martin and Franco Colapinto the Alpine.

Throughout the day, the three drivers completed a series of screening runs on various C3 tyre options, followed by long runs that enabled the performance and degradation characteristics of the most promising to be assessed.

Colapinto and Bortoleto also evaluated several C4 and C5 compound variants through qualifying simulations and higher-mileage stints.

The Argentine driver completed a total of 128 laps, setting the fastest time of 1.20.371, while Bortoleto covered 141 laps, recording a best time of 1.20.813, and Crawford stopped the clock at 1.24.598 over the course of his 136 laps.

Track temperature peaked at 53 degrees C, while the air temperature reached 30 degrees.

On Wednesday, Colapinto and Bortoleto continued evaluating various versions of the C3, C4 and C5 compounds, carrying out both qualifying simulations and long runs of up to 16 laps.

Colapinto set his best time of the day with a 1.20.139, completing 139, while Bortoleto's quickest lap was a 1.19.917, the Brazilian having completed 116 laps.

Across the two days of testing a total of 660 laps were completed, corresponding to 1,797 miles (2892 kms).

Track temperatures were higher than Tuesday, with a peak track temperature of 59 degrees C and an air temperature high of 34 degrees.

The next Pirelli dry tyre development tests are scheduled for 26 and 27 August at the Mugello International Circuit.

Aston Martin was also in action on Wednesday, the Silverstone-based outfit completing a filming day.
